Destiny Alao-Hamed, BSW

Destiny Alao-Hamed is a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) with 13+ years of experience primarily focused on children and the preservation of families. As she currently pursues her MSW at Indiana University, she has developed a newly found passion to serve adults experiencing alcohol/substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Destiny has a certificate in case management and will graduate with a certification in telehealth.

Amber Schutte is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern from Indiana University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowling Green State University. She is especially passionate about supporting first responders and individuals navigating high-stress environments, with experience in mental health case management, peer support facilitation and crisis response.

Annie Hering

Annie is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern at Indiana University Indianapolis. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana University East.

Annie is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, better understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and work toward meaningful change. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and strengths-based practices.

Grounded in empathy and respect for the dignity and worth of each person, Annie believes in meeting clients where they are while recognizing their strengths and capacity for resilience. At Limelight Recovery, she is committed to helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they work toward greater well-being and lasting change.

Kadyn O'Brien

Kadyn O'Brien is a Master of Social Work intern from South Dakota who brings a caring, culturally open perspective to mental health care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Gender and Women's Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato, which helped shape her understanding of different backgrounds and community needs. Kadyn has experience supporting immigrants and refugees by helping them find jobs and leading simple, interactive classes focused on mental wellness, life skills, and building connections.

At the heart of Kadyn's work is a real belief in the natural strengths and inner toughness of every person. Known for being empathetic, honest, and determined, she works hard to create a warm, comfortable space where clients feel supported and heard. She bases her care on trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered ideas. Always eager to grow, Kadyn views every client interaction as a chance to learn, refine her skills, and become a better clinician. At Limelight Recovery, she is excited to support people through their recovery journey while continuing to learn and develop as a therapist.

Emily Izadi

Emily Izadi is a second year Master of Social Work student at Indiana University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Human Geography from Ball State University. Her professional background includes child protective services, family preservation counseling within a women's correctional setting, and case management with children, families, and individuals impacted by substance use.

Emily also has experience facilitating groups focused on parenting, life skills, and substance use. She values creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and empowered. Emily is working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and hopes to provide therapy to adults, with a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma.

Joseph Hamelo, FMVA, MSC, BSC

Joseph Hamelo is a finance and operations professional who has worked across accounting, banking, insurance and retail sectors, helping organisations keep their finances accurate, transparent and well run. He brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to financial reporting, operational planning and organisational growth.

He has experience reviewing complex financial information, preparing reports and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, while building solutions that are simple enough for the people who use them. He has also supported digital skills programmes focused on creating financial opportunities for young people.

He is committed to applying financial expertise, analytical thinking, and people-centred leadership to help businesses grow sustainably and deliver lasting value to their communities.

Bernard Lartey is a detail-oriented finance professional with an MSc in Finance. His expertise spans variance analysis, payroll management, comprehensive account reconciliations, and month-end closing support.

Throughout his career, Bernard has maintained financial integrity by transforming complex financial data into accurate, actionable insights that support informed executive decision-making. He has also led process improvements that streamline reporting, reduce data-entry errors, strengthen compliance, and help finance teams meet demanding reporting deadlines.

Lucy Onovwa is an experienced content writer with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.). With a strong foundation in creative writing and over three years of professional experience, she specialises in creating compelling mental health content that educates audiences, strengthens engagement, advances mental wellness advocacy, and helps reduce stigma.

At Limelight Recovery LLC, Lucy develops meaningful digital content that transforms complex mental health topics into clear, relatable, and compassionate conversations. Her work inspires hope, encourages individuals to seek support, and promotes greater understanding of mental health and recovery.

Combining her educational expertise with strategic and creative communication, Lucy believes in the power of words to foster healing, build supportive communities, and remind individuals that recovery is always possible.

James Anibilla Adongo — Graphic Designer

James Anibilla Adongo is a Ghanaian graphic designer and community development enthusiast who is passionate about using creativity and communication to amplify ideas and inspire meaningful action.

His journey into graphic design began as a way to combine his creativity with his interest in communication and digital media. Over the years, James has gained experience producing visual content for organisations, businesses, community initiatives, and individuals. His portfolio includes promotional flyers, event graphics, social media content, campaign materials, announcements, and other digital communication assets.

Through his work, James has helped build visual identities and communicate messages through engaging, purpose-driven content. His experience has deepened his understanding of how effective design can capture attention, convey information clearly, and connect with diverse audiences.
