Alyson Grider, she/her, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is co-founder and Clinical Supervisor for Linelight Recovery. She is a graduate from IU Bloomington School of Social Work. Her master's concentration is in Mental Health and Addictions. She has lived experience with mental health and substance use which allows her to empathize with her clients and identify the barriers in the community for accessing quality treatment.

Aly strives to create an environment that is inclusive, comfortable, nonjudgmental, and safe to allow you to be your most authentic self. She specializes in harm reduction which means she uses a person-centered, collaborative approach to help you remove barriers for living by your highest values. This approach focuses on reducing harms caused by substance use or other coping mechanisms.  Mental health and substance use recovery is possible and is unique to your values, not to a societal standard of what recovery means.

Aly specializes in working with trauma, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety and other concerns. She has experience working with adults, couples, and groups. Aly also strives to provide individualized approaches to fit each unique person's needs by  incorporating aspects of EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical

Behavioral Therapy to the treatment plan.

Aly sees clients virtually and at the Indiana Recovery Alliance main office Monday through Friday. Call or click the link now to request a consultation with her today.

I am social work professional with a passion for supporting individuals struggling with substance use, depression, and anxiety. Holding licensure as an LCSW in Illinois and Virginia, LMSW in Maryland, and LSW in Indiana, I bring a wealth of experience in mental health and addiction treatment across diverse populations.

With a background in working with high-risk adults, individuals on probation, and those facing severe mental health challenges, my approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, resilience, and empowerment. I have held clinical roles at Centerstone Indiana, Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, and Indiana University Health Emergency Departments, conducting psychiatric evaluations and crisis interventions for individuals in need. My mission is to ensure that individuals—especially those from marginalized communities—receive high-quality, affordable care tailored to their unique needs.

Beyond therapy, I am dedicated to bridging the educational and digital divide in underserved communities. As a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) student at the University of Southern California, my capstone project focuses on achieving equal opportunity for all by expanding access to education and technology in rural Ghana.

I also serve as the CEO and co-founder of Educational Communities Worldwide (EduCom), a nonprofit providing scholarships, mentorship, and resources to under-resourced students.

My goal is to empower individuals to heal, grow, and thrive—whether through therapy, education, or advocacy.
